I 'd prefer Yahoo, but I suppose this could be a start in that direction.

This is really making the Liberty's sponsorship look kinda dumb.

FanDuel will offer WNBA daily fantasy game this season

http://summitthoops.com/2017/05/05/fanduel-wnba-daily-fantasy-sports-2017/

Quote:
The WNBA will surely benefit from such a move, as it gives the casual fan a reason to pay attention throughout the season. FanDuel allows users to draft players and compete on a daily basis (hence the “daily” part of daily fantasy sports), either with friends or within a larger league.

This is good news, and yes I will be playing. I wonder FD will have the late swap for the WNBA games?

I play fanduel during the NBA season so I'm excited about this! Unfortunately the lack of reporting from teams will cause issues, just check player pricing and it's all over the place lol! Plus they have players who are still overseas listed as available....

In FanDuel, it's not really about having the best roster... it's about having the best roster that nobody else has. Confused

If everybody picks the most logical lineup, everybody ties, and the pot gets split up ~a thousand ways. Therefore, the strategy is to constantly pick long shots. You likely will lose 9 times out of 10, but if you win on that 10th, you'll win a huge portion of the pot and more than win back all the money that you lost previously. If you take the logical/safe lineup, you'll just win your money back at best.

For example, in the NFL daily leagues, you're better off including some random third-string wide receiver in your picks. If that 3WR gets a touchdown, you'll likely finish at the top. In the W, the amount of players in the pool isn't as large, so I foresee a lot of ties and similar lineups. Back when they had the Virtual GM, after the first few days, they would have a ~10,000-person tie for #1 on the Leaderboard... If they break that tie with a dice roll, you'll likely lose anyways, so why not take a long shot player and actually have a chance to win? Not exactly the game I prefer to play, but again, at least it's something...

You have corrupted me. I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life. But, this is not gambling it is a game a skill against mainly basement dwellers.

To get your "Free Entries" I had to put up $10. I wonder how you get your money back out of this? Anyway, I entered 2 games. I either didn't understand it, or the Free entries only apply to certain games. I had to pay $1 to enter one of them. I did find one contest with no entry fee - but the prize is WNBA tickets. I usually can't even give away Dream tickets I can't use, so that may not be all that great. It looks like from the available players, that there are a lot of players listed no longer on teams, so maybe I have a chance.

BTW some of the games do have a lot of entrants so maybe this will spike interest in the WNBA among compulsive gamblers who have like basketball.

I guess I will read the instructions sometime.

I can't see how to change my entry - I did pick Stewart. Maybe it is too late before the game.

You should be able to in the "upcoming" tab at the bottom and then click on your entry (or whichever entry you want if you have multiple in the same contest). I just changed mine so it should still be open!

you still have time before 3pm est, go to your top right hand corner of the screen and press that no face, then go to transaction history click the entry fee you did and look for where it says edit right next to export

I'm shocked. I think I won $4. I was thinking I picked Adams but I didn't after all. I did pick Stewart. I got really lucky with J. Jones.

I wonder if I can get my money out now. I usually try to quit when I'm ahead.

Today will be the first time ever in a WNBA game I root for DT. I'm thinking the best strategy might be to pick games where no one plays much defense (Dallas/Pho might fit the bill.) Lots of possessions, lots of points, rebounds etc.

She seems like a solid fantasy choice this season, given that Phoenix is likely to be pretty average, and need her to throw up more FGA than usual.
Will she actually play today is what I am wondering.
