Did Kelly Faris seriously make this team again?

Not yet. They still have 3 cuts to make. It's still between her Hightower, and January.

so the hightower cut over the weekend rumor was false ?

I see we're on the same page Laughing

i remember people stating they never saw anything official but i didnt invest that much time to see if it were true or not . But seeing her name pop up here again as if shes still apart makes me wish i did.

I didn't see anything on wnba dot com, but it's not as if the league website is the most reliable source of information Rolling Eyes

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 9, 2017) – The Connecticut Sun announced today it has signed 6-foot-1 forward Adaora Elonu to a training camp contract.

To make room on the 15-player training camp roster, the Sun waived forward Reshanda Gray. The Sun must cut down to their final roster of 12 by Friday at 5 p.m.

Gray getting cut was predictable, but who is this player they signed? I've never heard of her.

So she plays for one day, only likely to get get tomorrow? Maybe she'll take Faris' spot on the final roster?

SF: AThomas/Elonu
PF: Tuck/Kizer/Adams

Adams and Elonu were both on the Championship Texas A&M team, FWIW.
Miller trying to recapture that magic?

Can't imagine there would be any interest in a six-year vet who averages less the 4 ppg and who has been looking less and less like she belongs over time.

Pedersen seems like the kind of player teams will call midseason when they've had injuries and need a post who can come in and play a few minutes without looking lost. I doubt there's exactly a charge to claim her off waivers.

Peterson hasn't played in over a year? Why are people thinking she'd make a comeback this season?

I don't see anywhere that says Hightower was waived. I've checked wnba.com..the Sun website....lots of players waived yesterday but I see nothing of Ali being cut...I'm not saying it didn't happen and I do think the last spot is between Ali and Kelly Faris.... the advantage Faris has is two fold, she's played in the Miller system and she's been injury free.

BOOYAH!

Took a year off for personal reasons. Stayed with her overseas club instead of going to camp even though she is marginal on the WNBA level. Didn't really want the job bad enough.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but why are you so hyped for players getting waived?

He awards himself a gold star every time he guesses correctly on something. This one must've been really important.
