Skylar won't be playing in this one. Her wedding is the same day as the game.

??? Surely you're joking. There is no way she would schedule her wedding during the short WNBA season. You should recheck your dates.

I can't tell if that reaction is serious or sarcastic...
But if you're serious it was tweeted by Adam Grosbard. He's like the only person that reports on the Wings in Dallas.
Also, it's a preseason game, if Wing/Shock history repeats itself, these games mean absolutely nothing.

Diggins-Smith will not travel with the team this weekend due to personal reasons so fans will have to wait to see this themselves until the Wings' home preseason game next week. |
I'm not sure how a wedding could be seen as "personal".
That was sarcasm

It is strange that she would change her name before the wedding

Many people nowadays have the honeymoon first, then if it works out they get married.

I was totally against signing Bone. But Looking at the dallas bench,Kelsey would be a offensive upgrade over what they currently have.Dallas could use Bone as the offensive bench post, and Lewis as the defensive post.Starting the season with no Powers and 4-5 rookies on the roster has me very concerned.

SAS website has 8 players not in camp yet and 4 of them are probably starters so tomorrows game will be a chance for rookies and everybody else to show their stuff.

It's doubtful. Typically we can't can't even get live stats for preseason games. Prepare for twitter updates.

I was serious! Not a Skylar h@ter (ND fan). Thought I saw where the wedding was supposed to be during the winter. Still think the wedding could be scheduled not to conflict with the season.

Under normal circumstances preseason games would be irrelevant with the exception of roster spots 10-12.But when you consider the fact that both teams will have multiple 1st/2nd year players in their rotations, and san antonio will play a small back court/3 guard lineup, these games will carry more weight than normal.Mcbride/Hamby returning fron injury/childbirth only increases the significance of the 2017 preseason.
Players to watch
Dallas:
Akhator-(Is Akhator really 6'3 ?...can she hold her own against wnba post players ?)
Chong-(Can Chong play better defense and run a offense more efficiently than Bias ?)
Bias-(Is Bias better than Chong ? )
Davis-(Is Davis the real deal ?...or just hype ?)
Gray-(Is Gray athletic enough to guard wnba SG's ?...or big enough to guard SF's ?)
Lewis-(Can Lewis be the backup center and provide the defense dallas needs ?)
San Antonio:
Plum-(can Plum coexist with Jefferson/McBride ?)
Mcbride-(Is McBride 100% ?)
Coffey-(Would not be surprised if Nia becomes the starting SF during the season)
Baugh-(can Vicki regain her 2015 form ?)
Harrison-(Can Harrison become a 20 minute rotation player ?...or even better, win a spot in the starting lineup)
Hamby-(will Hamby get cut ?)
Williams-(can Williams win a roster spot after not getting drafted in 2016 ?)
Gwathmey-(Has Gwathmey improved ?)
Bulgak-(Can Bulgak win a roster spot ?)

I wish I could watch. Anybody here going to this game? Not a large SAN contingency here.
Preseason games are the ones to go to if some of your college favs are likely the ones getting cut.
Preseason games usually aren't about winning, unless the game happens to be close at the end. I thought it was strange when the Lynx played a game at Rochester last season to promote WNBA to a potential new market, and they promptly got their butts kicked by the Mystics. Weird because I'm sure that's the one preseason game Reeve would not want to lose but she lost it anyway.
In this game, rooting for the lower members of the Fab Five, Chong & Lewis.
For SAN, go Coffey! Minny girl!
