No, they don't. No one needs Kelsey Bone.

I'm not sold on Tiffany Jackson-Jones and Avery Warley-Talbert. They already guard heavy

I'm not sure anyone needs any one of those 3 players.

Bone would probably be the best 4th post option in the league

I'd rather have Bone than Williams.

Sparks dont need another post. They have a rotation of Nneka Parker and Lavender. They already find it hard to find enough minutes to keep Lavender happy so why the hell would they want someone like Bone at the end of their bench..

This will be a day of mourning for jap, because the Sparks have renounced the rights to Farhiya Abdi

Wonder if she will sign a training camp contract somewhere else? New York? SA? Dallas?

The trend of most European players is to not show up. I wonder about Zahui...

I don't know anything about most of these invitees, but I watch the Pac-12 and surprised to see Quinn Dornstauder there. She was never All-Pac-12 (15 selections a year) so you would think that would put her off the WNBA radar.

24 players in their camp? That's a lot! 5-6 will get cut on the first day.

Nine players showing up late so essentially that'll be 15 players on the first day. Plus 6 of the 9 late players are locks to make the team and wont need much training camp expect maybe Gray.

With so many players reporting late you need camp bodies to run a camp competitively. I wanna see how Ms. Nina Davis is going to do after going undrafted & expressing her disbelief that there were 36 players better than her. Cool

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Wiese makes the team and may get some playing time if she can defend at the next level. LA will need her outside scoring off the bench to provide some spacing. Gray can shoot the 3 but she doesn't shoot it often and both Williams and Sims are better driving to the basket. Does Sims start with the bigger line up (A)? Or does Gray get the nod (B)? I think Gray is a starting point guard in this league, but I would bring her off the bench with Williams, just because Sims and Williams isn't the best combination in my opinion. I actually think having Gray run the point with Williams would benefit Williams a lot because Gray will get her the ball when/if she is open. LA signed a lot of training camp contracts this year, I wonder who will make the cut?

A
G-Sims/Gray
G-Beard/Williams
F-Carson/Wiese
F-Ogwumike/Jackson-Jones
C-Parker/Lavender

B
G-Gray/Sims
G-Beard/Williams
F-Carson/Wiese
F-Ogwumike/Jackson-Jones
C-Parker/Lavender

Picks 9-11 (assuming Wiese and Jackson-Jones aren't locks)
Davis, Hopkins, Ibekwe, J. Jackson, Samuelson,Warley-Tablert, Wiesner

Abdi can very well make the team based on her experience

Abdi's not even making much of an impact in Europe any more. I've never really seen what people thought was there with her. She certainly never showed a damn thing in the WNBA.

They have way too many bodies on their roster. more cuts soon! Why do some of these teams have zero updates on what's happening in camp?

Because the majority of WNBA PR departments are very bad at what they do.
