Both forward positions seem pretty shaky if Phoenix expects to challenge for a title.

I think the line-up of FLB, Drob, DT, Little and Griner will see some decent minutes.

Are you serious? DT at the small forward spot and two small guards! Wow, talking about lack of defense!!!!

And Little ain't what she used to be. Getting jobbed by Miller is a Little embarrassing.

DT at SG or PG is not a lot better defensively. Shay Murphy wasnt a great defender even before her serious injury so that isnt much better either..

She's better than those two midgets, but the issue here is the disastrous moves and trades that Sandy Brondello has made, I know Pitman is the GM but those trades made by the Mercury are a direct result of Brondello's input! Kelsey Bone trade last season was one of the worst trade made by any WNBA team in recent memory and it will be even worse if she doesn't play this year, Connecticut took her to the cleaners in that trade, it was so bad the Mercury made another trade and included a player they had traded to Connecticut and got her back (Jullian Alleyne) how dumb can you be! ha ha

Keep Bone add Prince at thee 2/3

D-Rob/Mitchell
Taurasi/Harden/A. Prince
Murphy/Talbot
Little/George/Allyene
Griner/Bone

looks OK If Petrovic shows after Euro basket it looks a lot better

I read that Taurasi suffered a possible hip injury in the last game in Russia. Hip injuries can linger, causing significant missed games. Will this impact the Mercury's upcoming season? Will the Mercury just decide to sit her out even if it's not a bad injury and tank again? I mean, Phoenix IS the shadiest team in the league and nothing would surprise me.

She could claim it's a serious injury. Me thinks Mercury are in the early stages of tanking this season.

The 2 year rule would work against them a bit, not that they won all that many games last year. I think SA has a big head start for No. 1 (9 games). Dallas has a 5 game head start. They again, they are pretty creative.

Exactly , the 2 year rule hopefully will rule them out unless there going for someone like Asia Durr or K. Brown in 19. ...They would have to literally be the worse merc team in history this season . Im Just waiting for the Diana is out for the season post to show up... Rolling Eyes

The Merc just need to miss the playoffs. The Lucky Balls will take care of the rest.

Taurasi doesn't have enough years left to be throwing them away in hope of a theoretical college kid. Although of course, if she doesn't give much of a crap about wnning another WNBA title, 'tanking' could coincide with 'rest' pretty comfortably.

I guess there is also the question of whether her overseas team is going to pay her to sit. If she sits for "free" it kind of kills her chance to get an overseas team to pay her to sit. She might just prefer to play but miss a lot games with dental appointments, toe nail fungus treatments and wart removal.

I'm sure it has nothing to with players or trades so this is just a fun thought not a real suggestion

sign and trade Bone and PX's 1st round pick next year for Cambage who has decided to show up and form a twin towers with Griner.

five minutes in the first half. She made a couple of quick baskets then disappeared. I didn't see when/what happened.
