I look forward to hearing Kara, LaChina, or Kristi next year!

And best of luck to her in other endeavors.

Now if Brenda, Debbie, AMD, and the "YES! Screamer" left too, I'd be so ecstatic that I'd lose control of myself, rip off all my clothes, run to the nearest ranch, steal a horse, and ride through the streets naked like Lady Godiva screaming with ecstasy, "America The Beautiful!".

While I recognize that DB was a viable broadcaster during the early years of NCAA WBB, her bias and pontificating has become intolerable. I turn the sound off whenever she's doing a game, and I'll be glad to be able to listen to game commentary again.

I like Van Lengen. And for the reasons you describe above, I would be perfectly okay with her remaining employed even if I didn't.

Brenda is too verbose doing color, imo. She has yet to learn that the time between team A's shot attempt to 10 seconds left on team B's subsequent shot clock is not required to be filled by her yapping.

I'll settle for anybody talking about the GAME that's going on, and not prattling on about something else and completely ignoring what's going on in front of them. That's my pet hate.

It doesn't matter who the announcers are, some are going to like them, and some are going to not like them. It seems like male announcers get less criticism, which is also my observation regarding coaches.

Doris Burke had that "female announcer voice" that Jane Pauley and Katie Couric and others have. Lower, more modulated tone.

My TV's volume went to zero during Doris' "We see you, Maya. We see you, Maya Moore!" days.
