Stanford has started slowly in a lot of their games this season. You would be wise to never count out Tara this early.

Cardinal keeping it close without any three point makes -- a good sign for them.

Already I've seen Wilson fouled about least 3 times where no foul was called. I see already how this game is going to be called. I believe they are trying to set it up so the Samualson sisters will play each other. After all that will be a well watched game.

Wouldn't SC get better TV ratings? Large public university with a big alumni base. Stanford small private school, admit very few students. The casual fan who just tunes in for a championship probably wouldn't know or care about the Samuelson storyline. The UConn win streak is probably the only thing they know about.

McPhee hits a 3, first one for Stanford. SC has 2x as many 3 point attempts as Stanford, a little surprising.

Big bucket plus the foul by Sniezek. Stanford up 5 and going to the line for 1

Anna Wilson seemingly never plays but cool to see her brother and the rest of her family be so into the game. I've seen a lot of parents who are just grumpy or complaining when their kid doesn't play and therefore isn't actively cheering, but they seem into it.

Stanford up 21-15 with 4:54 left before half.

Stanford basically isn't guarding Tyasha Harris, Bianca Cuevas, or Doniyah Cliney. They are a combined 1-8 from the floor.

Both their good perimeter are transfers from elsewhere, hard to imagine not a single guard SC has signed out of HS is good enough for Stanford to want to even guard.

Harrigan is 1-2. They are giving Harris like 5-6 feet to shoot, daring her to. Similar to Cliney.

Uh oh, Samuelson is hurt.

If that ain't broke...... Shocked

And dad can't wear a Stanford hat for this game??? Rolling Eyes (edit: Didn't see that the shirt was Stanford when they showed him earlier. He's off the hook. Wink )

That would be amazing if she can come back.

How many times have they done this before? At least twice, right?

What is the ideal SC lineup? I don't even know but its hard to play Cuevas and Harris at the same time right now because neither is being guarded and neither is hitting shots.

Stanford up 29-20 at the half. SC held to just 6 points in the 2nd quarter. McCall has 10 points and 6 rebounds. Alanna Smith 8 boards off the bench.

Gray has 5 to lead SC. Wilson has 4 points, 8 boards.

These numbers may be slightly off, but Stanford's average 40 yard sprint speed is about 39 minutes and their average vertical leap is about two inches.

I think they have an extra 1/2" vertical today with the adrenalin running and it looks like 2 1/2" is all that's needed...so far.

Hopefully Karlie is okay because she has been key for them and the sister storyline is over for Sunday.

South Carolina needs to get some stops and get in transition more. Plus obviously hit some outsides shots to get Wilson some breathing room.

Side note: Has Coates been traveling with the team at all? Haven't seen her at any of their games.

SC shot 58% against Baylor, but shooting 26% in the 1H against Stanford. Some games shots drop; others, not.

Well, if SC can't hit the broad side of a barn with a ball bat, they might as well go home. They need to shoot better in the second. (DUH, she said) And an awful lot of no-calls.

That looked awful on Karlie. I have an ankle that did that and has never been the same.

S Carolina scored 6 points in the 2nd period against a junk defense. Stanford's defense reminds of the 2008 semi where the trees sagged into the paint and dared Montgunnery to hit wide open 3's, only tonight they are leaving 3 and at times 4 SC players open outside to shoot. And S Carolina is having trouble hitting the rim.
