I don't watch UConn much but the games I have seen I don't see extreme athleticism...

what I see is a team that doesn't get called for fouls....hit their free throws, and cause a lot of turnovers....they hit their shots okay...

but they are not magical...

they are confident and elude that.....THAT is the difference...

Gabby Williams is the most athletic player in the entire country.

Collier said that no one thought that they would be here. When did that ever get mentioned? The narrative was they wouldn't be undefeated, as far as I remember.

I think most thought this would be a down year for the Huskies. Going into the season, I thought Final Four was questionable..

We also all thought that Kia Nurse was going to be the best player on the team, instead she's the fourth best player on the team.

She should have been POY. And DPOY.

I know Katie and Collier's point totals are sexy..but Gabby is consistently our best player in the biggest games.

If this wasn't a year that saw a person like Kelsey Plum do what she did, I think Gabby would be National POY. To watch her in person is totally different than to see what she does on TV. She is just phenomenal.

And maybe an All American... Without Kia, UConn would not have won the last two NCAA championships and definitely would not be undefeated this year. She's the leader of this team and the engine that makes them purr. She deserves more credit than she gets.

I believe if it's anyone's team, it's Gabby's.

I don't care one way or the other who's it is, if it is anyone's.

Additionally, this may be the most "team" of any UConn team I've seen.

As soon as the buzzer sounded in Indy, that's when.

i will agree on the fouls called portion . I see so many WCBB games with refs that blow the whistle on every pinch but in the UCONN games majority of the calls are let go . Yes UCONN's defense is superior than ALL , but you never hear about them getting jobbed by the refs like you do other teams. *Hint Hint * Baylor Vs ND 2014

For the most part no one complains unless they lose. The last time refs screwed UConn was in Maples 3 Novembers ago. Wink

Who's going to complain about the refs in a 60 point game?

I actually don't think the refs have been much of a factor in the tourney this year - especially not the second weekend. Not perfect, but for the most part they've been not an obvious component, and that's a good thing.
