Would love an upset!! But let's be real, UCONN by 30? 40? |
so true. |
or 50 it makes no sense to me to watch such a game. Heck, you know who is going to win. Now that Miss St/Baylor game was off the hook and kept my interest. Not even watching this one.

They're not playing bad defense. It's just their passing...

O shooting 42%.
It's only the 1Q. So many RebKell premature ejaculations. The O comeback will thus be orgasmic. |

Oregon has never faced a team where the opponent's 4 & 5 can guard on the perimeter. Being able to switch off all screens is a huge advantage.

I wish they'd stop forcing it to the fumble-fingered posts. Let it fly.

Really happy for Chong. She's had a great season, and she's saving her best for the tournament.

O shooting a very good 41%-50%-100% . . . and doing a terrific job of playing possum. UConn getting slowly seduced into ineluctable impotence. |

Graves is dropping the coach's ball in this one.
They were hitting from three, and he went away from that and made them force it inside.

Not really impressed with Oregon thus far - they are providing CT's offense for them. They are sluggish and slow, and stand still waiting for passes with CT defenders standing in front of them. And the worse thing is, the other Oregon players with the balls go ahead and pass them anyways.
All of CT's defensive effort has been in getting position before the balls are passed by Oregon. Then Oregon passes them, and the only way CT defenders aren't hit with the passes are if they dive out of the way. Oregon guards may as well just hand the ball to CT players to start off and get it out of the way....

UConn's 2 AP 1st team AA's have combined to shoot 8-21 (1-7) for 19 points while the other 3 starters went 12-17 (4-6) and 30 points.

When they actually take shots. They've taken 22 shots, and turned it over 17 times.
UConn has taken 38 shots.

Oregon's zone has succeeded in putting UConn to sleep on offense.

Burke only sees Williams in a small percentage of games. Collier is the everyday, game-after-game lunch bucket producer -- shoots much better, rebounds better, and blocks better.
UConn having cigarettes too early. Beginning to look sluggish. |

Since it's a zero-sum game, I wish she'd flat out tell us Brionna Jones shouldn't be a first-team All-American. (Though Kelsey Mitchell & Brianna Turner also got more votes than Gabby Williams)

So Burke, after an orgy of hyperbole about Williams, says that Azure Stevens, who has never played a femtosecond in a UConn uniform, and who was often an out of position chucker at Duke, is going to be the preeminent player in college basketball.
Lay off the viagra, Doris.
The basketball athleticism in this game is way above the pay grade of Ionescu and the rest of the Ducks. |

"UConn able to go to their bench." *snort* UConn could have gone to their bench a half hour ago and nobody would have noticed.
