You must mean "best freshman post", because Ionescu is only the national freshman of the year.

Walker-Kimbrough is playing really poorly right now. Bunch of turnovers and bad shot selection.

THREE from Ionescu! Oregon up 6, 3:30 to go.

The Oregon players are more awake than Burke. Smile

I've never seen SWK play so poorly before. I wonder if she's sick.

She must be "out of sorts". Surprised

Once again, no actual X and O coaching from Brenda. Just about energy and passion. Sigh.

Maryland has two freshman starters themselves, so it's not like they're super-experienced. They have the two senior stars

It's actually lovely to see Oregon's offense work. They definitely have beautiful movement and passing.

It must be too early for the video crew. They're not supplying clips

I wonder if this is (once again) a result of the competition you play against. The PAC is in general really about defense. It can be totally ugly, but effective. I think the B1G is more about offense so they haven't faced ugly defense so much.

The key is Jones. She was the only one really effective for the Terps. They need to get her the ball inside. And Shatori needs to wake up.

But in general I gotta hand it to the Duckettes.

Maryland not looking so good against an above average defense. Their transition has been taken away, and the Ducks have the more sophisticated half court offense. Terps literally hanging on so far with Jones's offensive rebounding and put backs.

Mild surprise here, but not shock.

Maryland may still pull this out, but they have been the most overrated team in the country all year. They're not playing Towson or Iowa any more.

Oregon showed they can play the way they took down Duke and Washington. They're not Baylor, but they can play. And they have a coach.

Graves said in his pregame radio show that he believed they could exploit Maryland's defense, that they don't play defense with the same "passion" as they play offense. He appears to have been right. What is surprising is how flat Maryland's offense has been.

And making in-game or halftime adjustments is not Brenda's forte, although she probably has the pom poms out in the locker room.

When your most noteworthy performance of the year is a loss, there's not much more needs to be said.

That said, if they start making some shots, they can score a lot and still win this. I think they can outscore Oregon if they play their offense as if they were back in the Big 10.

Hmm, there it is. The Brenda pep talk. Live on TV of course.

All we can do is be great for the next 20 minutes and go down swinging.

Rah rah.

That should help the offense. Rolling Eyes

Brenda's halftime motivation:

"don't panic"

"go down swinging"

hardly a positive message.

Oregon leads by 7 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd. McGwire for UO picked up her 3rd foul but is staying in the game.

She's not a very good coach. I don't understand how folks want to play for her - there's not a lot of development or game-plan changes.
