Holy cow, I just got here. I guess some folks might admit that Miss. St. is the real deal after all?

Now let's see what Neighbors does. Pretty disappointing recruiting by Washington as of recently, the cupboard is not exactly in place for another run. For that reason I think he could go to Arkansas and sort of go out on a high note with these past two seasons at UW.

Maria Taylor is pleasant to look at but she makes big mistakes.

It wasn't just her. Dillingham had to help contain Plum to 29 pts on 25 shots.
They've got some nice role players.

It helps to be 5-6" taller than everyone else on the floor.

Osahor is usually 5-6 wider than anyone else on the floor. It's a great advantage for her. Tonight it was neutralized by vertical size.

True....however,msst is a low i.q. basketball team.Low pecentage passes,Poor shot selection and over dribbling the basketball killed them in the 1st & 3rd quarters.they'll need to make better decisions if thay have any hopes of advancing to the final four.

Wow. We agree on something!
Pleasant to look at is quite the understatement.

In case nobody else is paying attention, Maryland is still alive and well...

Great two year run by Washington. Amazing careers by Plum and Osahor. I think this year shows for teams like Syracuse and Washington, its one thing to be the hunter, and its another to be the hunted, post final 4 and all the attention you get. You just don't sneak up on teams anymore.

Sure. Last year Maryland for sure did not see us coming. I don't think Kentucky underestimated us, but we knew what we had when nobody else quite did. Stanford, however, had as good an idea as anybody. And as for today, it's hard to say who is the hunter and who is the hunted in a 2/3 matchup. It's our 6th loss on the year. Every team we lost to is playing in the Sweet 16.

Washington should put Strother in. If nothing else she can foul McCowan and give her something to think about.

Yes. Neighbors got outcoached. Strother needed some time in this game. She isn't Osahor--hasn't got the IQ or the jumpshot--but Osahor couldn't keep up with 6'7" and 6'5" for the entire game.

Man...these 4 seniors. Yeah we got video game numbers from Plum and Osahor, but the two of them plus Collier and Corral have given so much to the program beyond those numbers. Not just amazing players, but amazing people.

I've been watching them all season and I think they are. McCowan is a part of the whole. She doesn't exist in a vacuum. While they may or may not be able to beat UConn (few if any can), they deserve to be right where they are.

It's not that simple though, otherwise every player 6'6 and up would dominate and most don't. She didn't do that much the 1st three quarters. 20 points in the 4th quarter alone?! UW just was gassed.

I expect she won't have quite the same game against Baylor.

+1 Oh, yeah.

Zune, maybe you haven't seen enough of their games, cuz this one was not typical of MS-St. Their defense was pretty standard, but they weren't as sharp on offense as in past games. Nobody's telling the exact reasons Vivians is coming off the bench, but IF & When she's fully back into the rotation, there IS a *better* version of MS-State to be had. Morgan needs to call her own number a bit more, too, imo. Her 8/1 asst/to stat is great, but she's good for more than 5 pts.

Washington had a fantastic 2 year Husky Sled Ride, with Plum and Osahor as the lead sled dogs. But tonight, their 37/36% on FG/3s was a bit more human, and only 16 points from Romeo and McDonald (instead of 38 in their last game) meant it was basically a 2 dog show. No shame, just....not enough for this opponent.

Go Bulldogs! Cool

True. It might BETTER!!! Shocked

That's going to be one for the ages; BOTH are similar: Big and Raw. Brown may a bit more polished, due to more time on the floor, but McCowan is definitely peaking at a good time.

Hopefully there won't be anything less than sterling quality reffing at work here; it'd be a pity to see the matchup go one-sided cuz one or the other got saddled with stupid fouls. They also each have decent supporting post players to play off of. Looking forward to it.
