Some pictures from South Bend and Lexington.

Too bad that someone misspelled Notre Dame as Norte Dame on the signs for the lockers. And that either it wasn't noticed or not noticed in time to replace them. Rolling Eyes

Without Turner, the advantage on the frontline should be strongly in favor of tOSU. The backcourt is close to a push so I would think tOSU is now the big favorite.

First of all, I'm sick for Turner. It's not only terrible that it happened, it also happened at the worst possible time. With that being said, I still don't give the edge to tOSU in this game. Muffett is light years ahead of McGuff as a coach. If tOSU plays as a team, I think they could win. But their undisciplined style of play would be picked apart by ND. ND clearly has an advantage in the back court, IMO.

I see no reason to favor the pupil either. The injury makes it 60/40 in ND's favor instead of 85/15, imo.

Yup. Never underestimate coaching/scouting, especially at this time of year.

Westbeld is not as athletic or big as McCoy but McCoy is sort of foul prone. She should try to pump fake and drive, as McCoy is pretty active in attempting to block shots. She will have to respect Westbeld's jumper so I bet she tries to block her shot.

ND takes about 15 threes per game. Given OSU's size and ND missing Turner, I think they could probably try to go for 20-25 threes. They shoot it at a higher clip than Ohio State, almost 40%.

ND starts out in zone d, also OSU on the 1st possession leaves Mabrey WIDE OPEN from 3. Not a good sign.

OSU up 5-3 two minutes into the game. McCoy made 1 layup but missed 1 open one too.

Evidently Ohio State doesn't intend to take advantage of their height advantage. Shocked

Small crowd, might as well have played at Memorial so it doesn't look as bad. I get they can't do that but man this doesn't look good.

Kentucky men play tonight so I'm sure a lot of people don't want to be late to get home and watch and thus are staying home

Ogunbowale 0-4 right now, 1-2 from the line. Settling for some quick shots.

Both OSU bigs have a foul early, ND needs to try and get them in foul trouble.

A lot of missed layups early.

After the timeout, people are finally making shots on both sides.

Mavunga is in. Let's see how she plays and whether she has some rust

Mavunga makes a fadeaway but if I'm ND I take her taking contested fadeaways instead of 3's.

Doss, Harper, and Waterman all have threes in the 1st quarter. Don't usually expect that.

25-24 at the end of the first. You're not watching an SEC game, that's for sure.

50% of OSU's shots have been 3's. A little surprising. 5 shots combined for McCoy/Hart/Mavunga.

Nelson puts the ball on the floor, turnover, OSU bucket. They just aren't going to be able to feed the post much today I guess.

How can OSU leave Mabrey so open? Started on the very first possession of the game. Amazing

Boggles my mind why teams play zone against ND.

Yeah, OSU has good athletes to pressure on the perimeter and they have bigs that can alter shots at the rim. Why give up open set shots from 3? Make them create off the bounce, double off Nelson and make her catch and finish, better than letting Mabrey shoot open 3's in rhythm.

This is some of the best ball I've seen Mitchell play. Her floor game has been terrific so far.

OSU defense remains undisciplined. Not surprised they're getting carved up.

ND on pace for 100 and there's still 2 minutes left in the 1st half. 50-37 ND with 2 to go

If OhSt wants to make this a perimeter game, I'll be happy. As a group, ND has better guards. OhSt has Mitchell, but even assuming she's #1, the next four are wearing white.
