I wonder if Vic will try to face guard Plum using Dillingham.

I can't wait to watch the rebounding situation with McCowan and Osahor.

plum is great. I don't know if MSU can stop her. Or even slow
Her down. But who does UW focus on? Anyone or two or three on MSUs team can go off. Such a different team than last year.

Lots of teams have tried to face guard her with their best defender. It hasn't worked very well unless they get lots of help, and even then... She's slippery like an eel.

The real way to beat UW is to stop all the other players. If the wings can't make their threes and if they have a big that can guard Osahor, then it becomes easier.

As for MSU, I love William. She's fun to watch. But all their players seems pretty inconsistent, including Vivians. If they're all on, that's one thing, but I don't think that has happened all that often.

This could be a really really good game...or not.

Practically all of Miss St's big wins have been against SEC opponents, for the most part low scoring teams. Miss St was considered a top defensive team last year, until they faced a high powered OOC offense and got exposed. So far this year they haven't faced an offense as good as Washington's. The question is can they keep up with the Husky scoring pace. I don't think so.

+1 on a decent bigs match up.

Miss St won't get so many OffRebs with Osahor around.

Unfortunately, this could be said of most of the remaining games, LOL!

Yeah, if WA shoots 57 & 60% on FG/3s, like they did their last game, it might not be so close. But, MS-State is much tougher than OK was on defense, too.

Other than that, there's so many fragile, delicate intangibles....let's HOPE for a Good Game, with zero injuries. Cool

I think for MSU to succeed they will have to really attack Osahor and try to get her in foul trouble. They are great on defense but part of what helps is so many SEC teams don't have a lot of shooters, so they don't get overextended when teams try to space the floor because too many teams had average shooters.

With Osahor in the game they can spread you out. Drive at her with guards, get post touches and try to get her to foul. Also need to use multiple defenders on Plum to keep them fresh throughout the game when they have to chase her around.

On the other hand, last time out vs Or St, Wash managed only 69 pts. Meanwhile, Ms St has scored 200 pts with the revamped starting lineup so far in the tourn and beat DePaul, an uptempo, offense-minded team.

Almost no result in this game will surprise me.

I think this will be a good game as well as the other game that will be on at the same time. I'd like to be able to see them both in their entiredy. I am from Ohio so I'd like to see the Ohio State game as well. I know I could watch the replay on watchespn but the problem with that is that scores from that game will be announced during the Washington game. I have directv but don't have the sportpac. I just wish the scores would not be shown or mentioned on the game that is being shown.

I keep looking at my watch. Like a little kid in the back seat of the car. Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

agree. I'd love to be able to watch both all the way through. Well, I guess we'll see if they are both as competitive as we (I) expect them to be.

They match up pretty favorably vs DePaul though. I'd be surprised if they have the discipline to slow it down vs Washington. Oregon State has been one of the best teams in the country at mucking it up this season IMO.

Osahor fouled McCowan on the first play of the game but the refs swallowed the whistle.

Ok, that's it, I've finally seen enough. VV is a jerk. First touch launches a 22 footer, then drives and almost loses ball, then almost throws the ball away.

Bulldogs have a good plan- attack Osahor. They just don't have talented 5s to cash in on it.

I'm glad to finally watch a game in which Osahor can't physically bully everyone inside.
