Maryland is known for their defense...

Maryland up 27, really strong showing from them. I honestly thought WVU was going to match up well but maybe I took too much stock in the Big XII Tourney instead of their complete body of work.

It is not uncommon for Tynice to shoot poorly against ranked teams, even in the Big 12 Tourney she did not shoot above 50 percent in all the games, and well below 50 percent against Oklahoma. So, it was not so much the Terps defense, just Tynice being Tynice. Their 28th in offense does not reveal the fact that they feasted on much lesser opponents but struggled against ranked teams. Today their offense which is typical against an elite team, starved. Their 109th ranked defense showed up today though. Rolling Eyes

Didn't Slocum make a shot like that in the Big Ten tournament too?

If people here mentioned it in the past, I've missed it, but....she reminds me an AWFUL lot of Toliver: looks, style, etc. Talented.

I DID think WVU might keep this one a bit more competitive, but hellz bells....they can still feel pretty proud of their season's finish.

You may be thinking of the Shatori Walker-Kimbrough's shot from about the same spot. She was able to dribble one time and then put up a running shot that went in. Destiny has made several half court or just inside half court shots this season. Too many buzzer beaters to remember, though. She's been like that.

I love Catching's look in that video Shades posted. She looks really motherly and genuinely happy for the little shrimplet.

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough hit a similar shot against Indiana in Bloomington.

Sorry xwomynjoc, didn't see your post earlier.

the most ridiculous shot i've ever seen, i think

The thing about it is she didn't take any running steps. It was a 3/4 court, standing stock still overhead pass at the basket. That went in, making it a shot. But she didn't even shoot the ball.

Ridiculous. Yeah.
