This one should be good. Big Ten tournament champ vs. Big 12 tournament champ. WVU looked sort of rusty vs. Elon but they have some of the personnel that you'd think would matchup well with Maryland. They have a big 6'5 center who is sturdy and can block shots. After facing Kalani Brown and other good Big 12 posts, if she can slow down Jones for Maryland than WVU has a chance at an upset.

Yep, really looking forward to Montgomery vs Brionna Jones. A good test for both. It should have some impact on the draft, especially for Montgomery.

WVU got 3 shots on one possession, good sign hanging on the boards with Maryland but two ugly shots, I think both airballs.

9-5 WVU with 4:46 left in the 1st. Game is being played at WVU's tempo, good for them.

WVU looks like they did in the Big 12 tournament. Up 16-10 with a minute left in the 1st. Maryland's offense looks bad.

WVU hasn't scored a point in the 2nd quarter and there is already 5 minutes gone by.

Big bucket and the foul by Slocum. Tynice Martin struggling, she might have 3 airballs today.

That was a hard foul by Martin. Slocum just springs right back up.

Looked like Osahor!

Not exactly, but just a flick of the wrist!

Very Happy

WVU goes on a 4-0 run to end the half, but wait, Destiny Slocum looks to basically do a soccer style throw in from the opposite 3 point line and hits a 3 at the buzzer. Had to be maybe 70 feet from the hoop.

Maryland goes into the half 14 and probably kills WVU's sliver of momentum.

That's a Sports Center highlight shot of the day... maybe the year

'eers in trouble.

Paradigmatic Mike Carey teams beat good opponents by maintaining thin leads or by keeping it very close, and then winning with their defense. However, if the opponent gets a significant separation lead, a Carey team usually doesn't have sufficient offensive acceleration to catch up. UTerp may already have enough of a lead at the half.

Didn't Slocum make a shot like that in the Big Ten tournament too?

Surprised the refs didn't go to the video, WVU player hit Slocum in the face, looked intentional, fighting for a loose ball.

And her performance is directly correlated to the score.
