Grab the ball. I don't even care if you thought she tipped it. You had plenty of time to grab it.

Then, A&M scores to take the lead. Rolling Eyes

I've seen that several times this weekend, men and women, and when players didn't grab the damn ball, the officials gave it to the other team.

If you can reach it, GRAB IT! Don't leave it up to the officials.

This is like the TAMU men's comeback last year against Northern Iowa.

Of course Penn blew it. None of my upset picks came through.

I agree. Unless you are 100% POSITIVE that it is off of the other player (like you were no where near the ball), grab the damn ball!!!!! Especially when you can get it cleanly, which it appeared to me that she would have.

Too often the refs have a different angle and will see something you didn't.

agree. She had an open court since the press was behind her.

I'm blaming Durantula for getting too confident Penn sealed it earlier. Laughing

Why didn't Penn miss the 2nd free throw on purpose?

You need to miss the 2nd free throw there

"Cori Close wondering which team she'd rather play"

You serious?

What a choke job by Penn. Only 9 points in the 4th quarter.

Surely the committee could have done better, but they must always choose the P5 over a better mid-major.

Who do you think got left out? Who are those "better" mid majors?

As far as I can tell, all the mid majors other than Quinnipiac are gone after one game. Even the good ones like Green Bay and Drake and Gonzaga and Chatanooga. Marquette is gone, Dayton is gone, USF and Temple are gone.

It looks round 2 will be two big East teams, one Ivy, Quinnipiac, Uconn, and 27 P5 teams, so is recognizing the general superiority of those teams really unreasonable?

I agree with Art. The tourney results thus far do not suggest that that mid-majors were underrepresented among the at-large bids.

Actually, make that 28 P5 and no Ivy after Penn's epic choke.

Yeah we need more mid majors like Penn for entertainment value. They give us something to talk about and for chuckles. Rolling Eyes

Did A&M try to miss their 2nd free throw on purpose to run out the clock? Airballing it wasn't the way to do that. Not that it matters...

Well damn. If my bracket weren't already screwed, that would have done it. I love Gary Blair, but come on.
