This changes hot seat stuff too. Auburn in the NIT may have put their coach on the hot seat next year. Same with Virginia, if they made it, they have a nice young core but now do you keep her another year?

Auburn? That is complete BS.

Kansas State gets to host? Wow.

Auburn is in. 17-14, they were bad to end the year too. First pick I do not agree with at all.

Their best win was against a Tennessee team that **everybody** beats, so I was surprised they made it in over Virginia.

With the eye test UVA is pretty good. When they beat FSU I assumed they were in but the rest of their resume must be pretty bad. They lost some close games I recall, to some good teams.

ND shaping up to have another cakewalk.

Stanford, Texas, Ohio St, Kentucky will all be in Lexington. Hardly a cakewalk.

Stanford stinks. Texas can't get out of their own way, tOSU plays no defense, and Kentucky is low Top 25 team, hardly a threat.

Nice try though.

Well Good St proved they're better than Maryland and ND just whipped Duke by 20, so UConn's 2&3 obviously are worse.

If you think Stan is better than Duke OR Maryland, you need help.

I really don't think Cal or Auburn deserve to be in, but who else would you give those spots to? Virginia, Michigan, GW, Indiana? Are there any other mid-majors that maybe deserved some consideration? Based on seedings, I would assume that South Florida and Auburn were the last 2 put in seeing as they are both 11 seeds.

Auburn and Cal. I can't figure out what either one is in.

Although I'll enjoy watching Anigwe.

13 losses, 6-12 conference? How does that get Cal in?

Not happy that we ain't at home, but given that, it is about as good as it could be. I was hoping it would be West of the Miss. River and it is that at least.

They have three significant freshmen, and consequently played much better the second half of the year. They had some bad early losses.

I don't know why ESPN bothers to interview the committee chair. They give them 5 minutes and the first 3 minutes is spent saying how tough it was to do their job and thanking their committee for all their hard work. Never once a tough question.

Questions I would want to hear:

Specifically, what ratings other than RPI and it's partner SOS does the committee employ?

Why is Baylor considered a higher one seed than S Carolina.

What are the odds that in 9 straight years UConn and Tenn are in different regions. Either you believe it's a conspiracy or else you are a believer in massive coincidences.

So, uh, there is profanity in here, for the faint of heart.

6-12 in conference.

Six wins. Twelve losses.

I may not have gone to a school with the academic reputation of the University of California at Berkeley, but by my math, that is a .333 record in conference, which is less than half.

You win a fucking third of your conference games and you're in the tournament? I love my Cal fans, and I would like to be happy for them, but seriously, WTF WTF WTF.

I am side-eyeing the shit out of Auburn too. I am also side-eyeing the shit out of the Big Ten in general for collectively shitting the bed and screwing each other. Fuck this bracket with fire.

Yeah agreed you shouldn't get in with a 33% conference record.

Also agree the Selection Show sucks. No predictions made. No Cinderella picks (even if there aren't any real ones, sell it).

So many unasked questions, nobody with the balls to ask the committee chair. Hell, with 2 mins at the end of the show they really don't have time to ask them. Ugh.

Seriously, we have friggin 24 hour marathons about the men's bracket (which I love as well) and just crap for the women.
