I really like what I've seen of Whitcomb. I hope she works out with the Storm. I can see Seattle going small with Stewart at the 5 & Whitcomb at the 4 to play a more uptempo game.

She'd be a small 3 at WNBA level. Playing the 4 would be insane.

Laughing yeah she is a true SG not a SF or PF..

I like the way Whitcomb starts backing up or even trotting back as her three point shot is in the air. At least it looks cool when they are all going in.

Haha, yeah, looks good when it drops. But when it doesn't, I'm sitting there like "Follow your shot!! There's an O-board there for the taking!"

(That's a pet peeve of mine in general with jump shooters. Either go after the rebound, or start getting back on D. Don't just stand there doing neither. So I guess at least Whitcomb is getting back ready to play transition D)

Grand Final Game 1 tip-off is ~ 45 minutes away.

This series is being live streamed on the WNBL Facebook Page instead of YouTube.

Live stats link

Sydney Uni are firm favourites with the punters for this game, paying $1.36 vs Dandenong's $2.87 at the moment; or a margin of -5.5 points.

The Rangers made a real game of this. It was a bit of a shootout for a grand final game, and a close one right to the last minute. Alex Wilson continues her rise from occasional bench spark to legit performer, with some big baskets in this one. Some speculation from the commentators that Leilani didn't look 100% healthy this game, but she came up big in the 4th with some clutch plays. Sara Blicavs came to play for Dandenong and had the better of her duel with Asia Taylor.

Sydney 91 (Wilson 22p 6r 5a, Hamson 15p 8r, Mitchell 15p 6a 3s, Taylor 15p, Nicholson 9p, Tupaea 8p, Snell 7p 5r 5a)
Dandenong 82 (Blicavs 25p 8r, Cumming 16p 5r 6a 3s, Novosel 14p 3s, Kennedy 9p, Malott 8p)
