well the quality of this game...at least at the beginning...is a big step down from the last one.

One of the greatest defensive first halves since Stanford vs. UConn in April 2010. |

Wow. The masters of the understatement. Did Matt Schick actually say "Not a high scoring game"? Oh really?
Miami shooting 25%, Duke shooting 38%. 10-9 in the first quarter, 13-11 in the second quarter.
The ND coaches scouting this game are probably thinking to themselves "Either watching this is completely useless because it's not at all representative of what we should expect tomorrow, or it's totally unnecessary because if the winner plays like this tomorrow, we're going to roll. Either way, we're not learning much of value by sitting here."

Duke up 48-46 with 4:40 to go.
Make that 51-46 after Greenwell drains a 3 from the corner.

Miami up 52-51 with 1:30 to go. On the Hof layup to take the lead, it looked like Brown was covering her head thinking the ball would hit her on the head. It was weird, didn't defend Hof.
Why did Miami then foul Brown when they are in the bonus? She's automatic from FT line

Back to a 1 pt game, Miami ball after a horrible forced layup by Greenwell. She's better off shooting 22 foot 3s.
Miami scores, leads 52-51 with 1:30 to go.

Yeah, bad foul. And Brown was about to throw up a junk shot. Should have let her go.

Miami calls time out, and out of the timeout doesn't get a shot off before the clock expires. Horrible.

Duke is gonna pull it out. Now the question is does this put them in the mix for a 2 seed?

Lexie plays hero ball, but makes the shot and gets fouled. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
Miami down 4 with 20 seconds to go.

Miami grabbed a lead and next time down the court the refs called 2 touch fouls in a row on Miami to put Duke on the line and give them back the lead and the 'Mo.

One would think so. Even if they lose tomorrow, who are the other #2s? Second place SEC team, winner of PAC. Then who? I'd think Duke's record would match up well with any other contenders.

Could be worse for Duke. Creme was mentioning how he projected FSU to be a 2 in Bridgeport. Does Duke take that spot? If so, being a 3 elsewhere may be preferable.

He actually said earlier that Duke might take FSU's spot if they won today.
If they win tomorrow, I'd think they're a lock for a 2. That would have to put them ahead of MD, for example, I would think, if they aren't already.

Creme just said he doesn't think Duke can move up even if they win tomorrow. He thinks both Duke and FSU are locked in as 3s.
And says ND is a 1 regardless of outcome, and was probably still a 1 even if they had lost today.

Wow, that's interesting. Beat a 1 seed on a neutral floor and you can't move up to a 2? What if some current 2's lose? Didn't know Duke was that far behind the 2's. Either way personnel wise I don't think Duke will win. Duke's defense has been very good this year but against the UConn's and ND's of the world who pass well and have numerous shooters, zone defense is just going to give up too many open looks.
