What a crazy ending!! They brought out Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway to present Best Picture 50 years after Bonnie and Clyde, only to have them wrongfully give the award to La La Land instead of Moonlight, which was the actual winner.

I loved La La Land and still listen to the soundtrack all the time, but I was rooting for Moonlight (without having seen it yet, but it's on my list).

That ending was bananas. Shocked Can't believe that but I'm thrilled for Moonlight.

Denzel should have won tho.

How do you root for a movie you haven't seen?

May favorite Oscars tweet today:

Matt Schick‏ @ESPN_Schick
Woke up this morning to find out that a movie I didn't see was mistakenly awarded Best Picture over another movie I didn't see.

Watching self important things become trainwrecks is one of my favorite things, so I was delighted.

I have yet to see "Moonlight" but is worth noting it is the first explicitly queer-themed movie to win Best Picture.

I don't know that I'll see the movie but I do know that I've loved the stuff I've seen him in since he was on TV in The 4400.

This article, if I read it right, gives some details on how it could happen. Apparently the accounting firm that tallys and protects the results has someone with a full set of envelopes on both sides of the stage, because it isn't known in advance which side the presenters will enter from. The guy who mistakenly handed over his copy of the best actress award was said to be doing a lot of selfies and tweeted one of he and Emma Stone.
