Poor winless Chicago State. Lost again today to UMKC to drop to 0-11 in the WAC and 0-25 overall. Their best chance to avoid being winless will be the rematch with UMKC March 4 in Chicago.

Remaining schedule
2/23 vs. Grand Canyon (14-10, 6-5 WAC)
2/25 vs. Cal St-Bakersfield (12-13, 7-4 WAC)
3/4 vs. UMKC (7-17, 2-9 WAC)

Alabama A&M has tasted victory twice this season, albeit to non-DI schools. The Bulldogs are 2-20, 0-13 in the SWAC after losing to Southern today. They have 5 games left to find a DI win:

@ Alcorn, vs. Prairie View, vs. Texas Southern, @ Jackson St (best W possibility), @ Grambling

I think Chi State lost their 'best' player early in the season. But yeah, I guess for these really bad teams, maybe they should play a few DII's in OOC play. It's tough to be on a winless team.

Chicago State has their own problems.

yikes. Good article. That is tough. And once the downward spiral starts it's really hard to stop it.

Lordy, that's just plain depressing! That'd be a great place for some off-season Sky players to go and do some morale building.

Chicago State's winless season is complete at 0-29 (0-14 WAC). They only trailed by 2 entering the 4th quarter against Seattle but fell 78-60 in the WAC quarterfinals.

Alabama A&M failed to qualify for the SWAC Tournament. They finished 2-25 (0-18 SWAC) but winless against D-I schools.

The story I read on Chicago State was so sad. I really felt for the coach, the kids, and the school. It looks like the school itself may be merged with another school in the system before too long. But the players themselves have so many problems that it's a wonder there's a team at all. Crying or Very sad

I think Alabama A&M might actually have done a little better under Semeka Randall than they are doing now, but some of the HBCUs (not all) have recruiting and academic problems. I believe AA&M may be one of them, which might add to their troubles.
