Alex Bentley's re-sign with CT is not on the transaction page on wnba.com anymore. What's up with that?

This happened last year as well sometimes. I think it's something to do with the website itself and how it generates the page. I have no idea how a company could allow such data corruption but I found the need to do daily checks of the transaction page lest an entry disappear the following day when the page got "updated."

Sorry if this is a repeat, but, according to Sparks' twitter account, Essence Carson re-signed with the Sparks.

Gatling over Hollivay in Atlanta. Ibekwe still trying to make a team. Warley just a training camp body. Weisner has a chance. Cannon & Turner ain't making it in Phoenix. Greene only makes it in Seattle if Bishop doesn't show. Whitcomb stands a solid chance as does Taylor in Washington.

Tolo isnt coming over and pretty big chance that Wauters is done aswell. So the Sparks are still looking for a backup center so Warley maybe has a chance

Knowing from her time with New York, Warley provides excellent team energy & chemistry. Should could easily replace Wauters as that veteran post that just rides the bench.

PG: Gray/#4 pick
SG: Beard/Williams
SF: Carson/Dabovic
PF: Ogwumike/Jackson-Jones
C: Parker/Lavender/Warley

Happy Ify is getting another look. Don't know what she's been up to overseas but she's a tweener I thought might be able to make it.

She's been playing very well for Girona in Spain. Her team's in the Eurocup quarterfinals.

I think Ibekwe will make the team if she can prove she is fast enough to defend and shoots well enough to play the SF spot.

So the same reasons she hasn't made it for the last six years? Good luck to her, but the history of tweeners who don't make it coming back later and being successful is not good.

But hey, people who play one position at one end of the floor and a different one at the other could work in LA at the moment, considering everything revolves around Parker and Ogwumike. Plus the three or four players at the end of the bench never play anyway under Agler, so maybe all you need to do is be nice and practice well. That could be anybody.

I'm expecting three to four more big trades before the season starts. If we make the assumption that chicago will draft Plum/Deshields at #2,then a trade is very probable/imminent.Chicago has too much depth in the backcourt to bring in another 20 minute per game guard.

Trade bait:

Faulkner
Vandersloot
Quigley
Pondexter
Dupree
Mcbride
Sims
Howard
R.Williams
Achonwa
Bone
Dolson
Langhorne
Peters
Stokes
Rodgers

Possiblre trade destinations:
Dolson to NY
Dolson or Dal for Christmas
Achonwa to chi for Young
Mcbride to LA for #4 pick
Peters to Dal for #10 & 11 picks
Bone to chi for Quigley
Howard to chi for Faulkner & Parker
R.Williams to sea for O'Hea
Stokes & Rodgers to dal for Sims & Christmas

I would do both of these without even thinking twice.

Bone for Quigley is interesting. I don't think Bone is useless like others, but we already have two centers. Unless you're proposing this trade as scenario after Dolson is traded?

If we're just dumping Faulkner like that, we can do a hell of a lot better than Natasha Howard, especially if Parker is also in the deal.

btw, DO NOT WANT BONE. DO NOT WANT.

Maybe I'm overvaluing Howard, assuming zune is referring to Natasha Howard that plays for the Lynx. Parker, in a sense is a throw away but she's got some tools. I think her and Faulkner are about equal, I'd give the edge to Howard on potential though..

Mavcarter and Sigur3 mentioned one player they both would like to see wearing a Sky uniform and that is Jonquel Jones. How about a straight up trade of Dolson for Jones? Connecticut has a lot of power forwards and no center.

Why want Howard when you already have Breland. You want them to split the minutes at PF? What about Dolson?

Howard has great upside. She just needs more PT.6.7p/3.6r/0.8a/0.7b/57%fg in only 14.6 minutes is damn good.Howard dropped 24 pts on the us national team.Sometimes getting drafted by a championship contending team is the worst thing that can happen to a young player.Howard does not have the luxury of playing through her mistakes(e.g.,E.Meeseman,G.Johnson,C.Ogwumike,M.Jefferson).The lack of rope Reeve gave Howard in gm 5 of the finals played a factor in minny not winning the championship.

Breland can play backup 4/5,unless she gets traded for a SF.

Boyette:26-28 minutes
Howard:24-26 minutes
Breland:22-24 minutes

Faulkner averaged 8 ppg and almost 5 apg in 19 minutes last season. I wouldn't trade her unless I got a nice piece in return. She's good insurance for when Sloot is injured.
