Tamika breaking down in the press conference is hard to watch. Crying or Very sad

She talked about kneeling down for the National Anthem and standing up for what is right. What an inspiration.

Where did you see the press conference?

With the one and done format the W continues to draw attention to itself as bush league. In Rd 2 it will be even more asinine.

Umm, word is we are testing the format for the NBA. Not sure why you say bush league.
It sure does make it more edge of your seat exciting!

I like the format until we get to the one game eliminations. I am not in favor of this new part of the playoffs.

Why, Why, Why is this game shown 2 o'clock in the afternoon?

which game? The Fever-Mercury game is on at 6pm, the Dream-Storm game at 8pm.

those are Eastern Times; out on the left coast the games were shown at 3pm and 5pm. not exactly fan friendly.

Or you know, the most popular sport in the nation by a huge margin: football (both NFL and NCAA).

Testing the one game elimination for the NBA or the seed 1-8 regardless of conference? I can't see the NBA going to the one game elimination.

I could if they expanded their playoffs and had a "play-in" game or two. Of course they could use it. Both the NBA and the NHL playoffs are a bloated mess that seem to go on forever.

Kinda weird tactic at the end of the game, Merc running a pack in zone even with Griner, leaving Catch wide open for 3 straight shots. It worked, good call by the coach.

why would the NBA go from a best-of-7 format to single elimination? They'd lose revue that way. Unless they're going to expand the play-offs? Or are you referring to the single table format(eliminating conferences)?

Conversely, that's one reason the WNBA went to single-game playoffs in the first couple rounds. Nobody came, nobody watched, and the owners lost money.

Owners do make money as the playoffs progress, but the first round especially has always been a financial disaster.
