Prahalis is a big-name player, and she's also a big-personality player.
It would be great if she could show WNBA coaches enough that she got back in the league. The WNBA needs players like Prahalis ...

sigh. do we have to be reminded that in 2013 & 2014 that Prahalis had 4 attempts to stay on a roster and was cut by all four teams(Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles & Atlanta). How many more chances should she get?

No. I haven't forgotten that she sucks according to 90% of the people on this board. No one needs you to remind us. I don't care though, Sammy will prove you wrong if she gets a legit shot (not like the cup of coffee NY and LA gave her).

Nicole Seekamp teams up with Steph Talbot in Poland

The Pick and Rolls 2016 Womens College Player of the Year, Nicole Seekamp has officially made the transition to the professional ranks, signing with AZS PWSZ of Poland. |

AZS PWSZ Gorzow seems like a good fit for me to further develop at the point guard position whilst doing that in a professional environment, Seekamp explained in speaking with The Pick and Roll. Not only that, but it will be a good cultural experience.
Seekamp received an opportunity to return home and play professionally in Australia, but spurned the chance in order to make her mark in Europe.
I did consider the WNBL Adelaide, Canberra, and Townsville [all contacted me], the talented point guard revealed. But at the end of the day Gorzow seemed a better fit for me. |

Seekamp and Talbot are not the only Australian women playing in Poland this season. Former Melbourne Boomers captain Tess Madgen will suit up for Pszczolka AZS UMCS Lublin after signing for 2016/17. |
Seems to be an outflux of Aussie players from the WNBL. Jarry is gonna play in France.

How can the Puerto Rican league function without Wheeler and Cortijo? Those are the two superstars of the league.

Did Wheeler even play there last season?
Cortijo is obviously the biggest Puerto Rican name, but it's not like she's a significantly better player than some of the imports.
This year's draft class was pretty loaded so adding people like Jennifer O'Neill and Damika Martinez probably makes up for the loss of Cortijo plus she will presumably will head back to Carolina after the WNBA season. With plenty of young Puerto Rican players coming through the system, I wonder if the league will strengthen in the near future.
I can't pretend to understand the financial situation in the two Puerto Rican basketball leagues though.

Where is our resident Kendall Kenyon fan?
She signed to play in Puerto Rico recently.

Here I am.
They sent her home after a week. She's working as a graduate assistant at Pacific.
My feelings are mixed. I'm glad she's home.

It's an interesting league to keep an eye on each year. Technically the Puerto Rico schools are associate NCAA members and they tend to play some DII schools as well as each other so pretty much every players comes through the same basic system.
