The US has five chances for more Gold today, including two in which we are favored (men's basketball and women's middleweight boxing). Our other events today are the men's marathon, men's cross country mountain bike, and men's 97kg wrestling.

Interesting to note that Britain has beaten China for the first time on the medal table since China joined the modern Olympics in 1984--as well as becoming the first nation since the inception of the modern Olympics to increase their medal tally at the summer Games immediately following the one they hosted.

Hail Britannia. Pax Britannia. Rule Britannia.

complete medal list. Host's Brazil finished with 19 medals(7G, 6S, 6B). First time medalists in these Olympics were from Kosovo, Jordan, Fiji & the IOC.

They might petition to make the games men only so they can beat the US
