Elena Delle Donne has surpassed 2,000 points. Fifth Sky Player to do so.

Quote:
The Sky has returned to winning form thanks to the dominant play by Elena Delle Donne. The reigning WNBA MVP was honored as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from July 11 to July 17. Delle Donne led all WNBA players in scoring with 24.7 points per game, while shooting a blistering 51 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc during the week. On Sunday, she contributed 35 points, 11 rebounds and a game-winning three pointer with less than a second remaining on the clock to help the Sky to a 91-88 victory at the Seattle Storm. During the game, Delle Donne surpassed 2,000 career points, becoming just the fifth Sky player to do so. She currently leads the WNBA with 21.3 points per game.

SKY needs to get Boyette in the 2nd half and she needs to stop fouling, also, need to get the ball to EDD and let her go.

Faulkner needs to stop turning the ball over.

It definitely was a tight one throughout. Great win for Conn and tough loss for the Sky. The Sky did really well closing out the last couple of games but I know the loss of players have hurt them. Olympic years are always a challenge... Happy Break Everyone!!

why no Parker tonight? Sky only had 8 players available, which forced Breland to play 22 minutes at center. Against the likes of Ogwumike & Jones. Not good. This Sun team, when playing well are very deep & could be very dangerous. I wonder if they'll sneak into the play-offs after all.

Miller lets his assistant coach take over for at least part of a timeout. Trying to remember when I have seen that before. I think Dunn let McCartey do that in Indiana some of the time.

There are wonderful things about Sigurs
Sigurs are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
But the most wonderful thing about Sigurs
Is that you're the only one!

You mean White? On the job training.

I've seen it before. Some of the assistants most be better at drawing up plays.

Heck, I've even seen TWright take charge in a huddle, probably more for inspiration rather than a play call though.

Donovan did this last season in Connecticut as well. Steven Key would be in charge of the huddle before every defensive possession. It was pretty interesting.

That said, each coaching staff functions differently in-game. Minnesota's and Washington's seem to me to be the sharpest.
