That is not a travel by Emma. These refs should take notes and learn from her footwork

She allows Taurasi to sit for a few minutes and have the whole team not go to crap. Important things.

Most teams can't afford a PG that can't shoot. Mercury have so many weapons that they can. Might be a good move for them.

She brings some defensive intensity that they really need tbh.
Griner showed some life in this game. Finally

Agreed.....Taurasi will be more fresh at the end of games.

It's a great move.Taurasi can be aggressive scoring the basketball while Lindsey facilitates the offense.

Lindsey's defense is very underrated, and Griner should be getting no less than 14 shots per game.

Lindsey Harding is the first #1 overall pick to play for six different teams (Minnesota, Washington, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix). She's also the only current player to have played for that many different teams. Only six players in league history have played for more than six different teams. The record is eight, held by Kristen Rasmussen.

I'd be surprised if she didn't at least tie that record. Smile

What's with Malott? Is she injured?

This 6/17 article says she's been injury prone this year, so it wouldn't be surprising.

Quote:
Unfortunately, though, injuries have thus far plagued her 2016 campaign.

Early in training camp she got hurt, the first or second day, and missed almost 10 days of camp, Mystics head coach Mike Thibault said. And as soon as she gets back and plays two or three days she gets hurt again. So in totality, in a months time, shes only really been in practice about five days. Thats pretty difficult.

The second injury he alluded to was an arm sprain she suffered from a fall during their season opening game against the New York Liberty on May 14th. She was luckily able to return and play 16 minutes against the Sparks six days later.

Even if she's not injured, with her being a young player, it can be hard to earn a spot in the rotation if you've been hurt a lot.

Something else I found interesting in this article, she "didn't love" playing in Turkey. So I suspect she won't be returning to Turkey next season.
