They lied.

It's well past 3:30 and no game as yet.

Ok, only 10 minutes late. David Resnick and Julianne Vianni. Not the A team I guess.

So why are they using the old "shoot 1 and 1 at 7/half, 2 shots at 10/half" rules?

No one tell them women's college ball rules have changed?

Evidently they can't be bothered to tell us who is on the teams or on the floor. They're too busy droning on ad nauseum about Geno, UConn and Dangerfield. Cox seems to be the only other player they know.

Twice now they have completely butchered Kysre Gondrezick's name . Lot of prep I see.

You've gotta love the honesty of putting Brand right their in the name of the event.

The lack of understanding of geography is quite interesting as well. I was interested to hear how Jackie Young is "staying local" for school.

It's a 5 hour drive from Princeton, IN to Notre Dame. MUCH closer to Louisville or Kentucky. Even closer to the U of Missouri.

This Duncanville coach doesn't seem to want to play Jackie Young. Sad

Cox was way over the back on that tip off Johnson's face.

It's bizarre. And you had three national POYs (Boley Young and Ionescu) who didn't start for their teams.

I don't think Slocumb has ever seen a shot she didn't like or want to take. She'll make them forget Lexi Brown in College Park. Rolling Eyes

Odum has looked really good in this game. I really like Holmes too but she doesn't seemto have played much either.

Dangerfield was underwhelming this afternoon.

At least Boley and Ionescu are getting a lot of minutes (especially Boley).

Cierra Johnson is no match for Holmes or Cox.

And another ill-advised shot for Slocum.

They said that each player is guaranteed to play at least 12 minutes. I'll bet that's about all Young got! Maybe she is ill?

Cox has 15 pts, 15 rbs, 7 blocks. She's looked really good, Boley has looked really good, and Odum has looked really good today.

Why does the quality of play in this game, with most of the same players, always seem even worse than in the McDonalds game?

Is it because it's not on ESPN the players take it less seriously or something?

Erin Boley (21 pts, 15 reb) and Joyner Holmes (16 pts, 12 reb) are Co-MVP's. Curious why Cox was not selected if she had 15 pts, 15 reb and 7 blocks. I would consider that better than either of the co-MVP's, unless their other stats were very impressive.

Or did they just go by points scored?

No, because Amber Ramirez scored 22. Maybe is was just points and rebounds. I'll know more when I see the box score, as the only stats I have right now are tweets from ESPN.

I haven't watched this game yet, but she underwhelmed me in the McD's game.

I think she may be in for a rude awakening at UConn.

I saw the game. She got tons of minutes and she is very quick, but she had a couple fairly egregious turnovers and didn't seem to shoot very well again. I think she has the raw tools, and Jefferson wasn't a stud for USA basketball before she attended UConn (Dangerfield was definitely better), so I expect her to develop very well at UConn. But she isn't there yet. I predict that someone else will start the season at PG for the Huskies.

She was better in the McD game than today.

BTW, what does it say about the gap in expectations when Dangerfield is being critiqued and dismissed as an early starter, while our SCar posters are are proclaiming as the saviors of their pg problems a couple of players who didn't even make these all star or USAB teams?
