I don't think they will lose all of their three remaining games to SA, but if SA and GS hold home court...

Has their ever been two teams that have gone undefeated at home during the same season?

This is what I found:

No. The team that holds the record for the best home record is the 1986-87 Boston Celtics who went 40-1 at home. Their only loss at home that season was to the Portland Trailblazers.

Two milestones reached last night.

Stephen Curry 1st to make 300 3s in season; Warriors win 45th in row at home

Curry scored 41 points and became the first player in NBA history to make 300 3-pointers in a season, and the Golden State Warriors set another record in a season full of them by holding off the Orlando Magic 119-113 on Monday night for their 45th straight home victory.

Golden State surpassed the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' 44 straight regular-season home victories and improved to 27-0 at the Oracle Arena this season.

The Warriors massacre of the Knicks last night brings them to 61-6 with 15 games remaining. They need to go 12-3 for those 15 games to beat the Bulls' record. Their remainig schedule isn't easy as they play the Spurs three times(twice in San Antonio) along with facing Portland, the Clippers & the Celtics. The other 9 games should be easy wins.

Tonight.

Warriors-Spurs has highest combined winning % of any regular-season matchup in NBA history (50+ games).

and the Spurs take down the Warriors tonight. NICE! The Warriors now need to go 11 - 2 for their remaining games. Tough battle ahead for them.

With the win over the Clippers, they need to go 9-2. The Spurs seem like the only opponent standing in the way. That of course would be if something unlikely should happen.

Their last 8 games. Two are against San Antonio(one in San Antonio). The Celtics & Blazers should be the only other teams that could give the Warriors a lose, but that 73-9 record certainly isn't guaranteed.

Very interesting read.

http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/spurs-rest-golden-state-warriors-record-2016-73-wins-nba-record-can-set-schedule-033016

As a fan, when I go to a game, I would much rather watch both teams playing at full strength, especially at today's prices. Apparently Pops is more concerned with the bigger picture...the playoffs.

That would pretty much guarantee the Warriors breaking the record. But Pops always does this towards the end of the season, so it shouldn't be a surprise. I wonder if Kerr might rest some starters in these games as well.

Kerr has openly stated that his team is going after the record.

I expected Boston to be tough. However, I didn't expect them to win AT Oracle. Now, I think GS ties the record. I don't think they will break the record.

Boston rolls into town and snaps their streak. 6 games to go. Will really get interesting now.

Solid game by Boston, congrats!! With San Antonio resting their starters, those two games should be wins for GS. Their next game vs. Portland will be another test & I think they should be able to handle the Grizzlies(twice). I think they'll reach 73-9 & beat the Bulls' record.

The loss tonight dropped their odds of breaking the record from 55% to 15%.
