Now the fun begins as I attempt to fill out a bracket for that mess.

Yale defeats Baylor!!! That's about 1 million brackets busted on the first day.

Through the first six games of the day, 878,201 out of roughly 13 million Tournament Challenge brackets remain perfect (6.7% overall).

I made it through the first six perfect, then Little Rock happened. I had Purdue in the E8, so my bracket is badly damaged. Right now I am 10-1.

End of Day One, and I got three wrong.

I picked Texas Tech, although I truly thought I picked Butler. I have no idea why or how Texas Tech ended up as my pick instead. Technically, three wrong but should be two because I really did think Butler was going to win. Grr.

I picked Baylor, but I am 100% okay with Yale's win. Watched the game, they played great.

I also picked USC. Evil or Very Mad

So, if USC played 40 minutes instead of 39 minutes and 58 seconds, and I had properly entered Butler instead of Texas Tech, I would only have one loss.

Alas. 13-3.

(I didn't struggle as much as I should have picking Wichita State over Arizona. Just knew they would blow it.)

So far, a typical way to start my tourney bracket, missing four games: Yale, Shockers, Butler and Providence. I did enjoy picking the Little Rock upset. The Big Ten is over-rated this year.

I didn't pick Yale, Wichita State or Little Rock.

But I did pick Gonzaga.

And of the three 8-9 games, all three 9th seeds won, but given the closeness of the seeds, I really don't consider me having picked REAL upsets. Still nice that I got Butler, Providence and UConn right. Very Happy

First game of Day Two, and I got it wrong already. Dayton just couldn't make their bunnies. Sigh.

Michigan State is trailing at halftime. I had them losing in the second round, so I'm totally okay with this.

And Michigan State is out. Almost a quarter of ESPN brackets had them as the winner.

I just heard a sports report that said of the 13 million brackets on ESPN, only 6 are left intact.

I want to know how the hell those 6 picked this thing right thus far.

What a crapshoot this tournament has turned out to be...and we still have the night games of Day 2 to go.

Now 17-7. As mentioned, the Big Ten is over-rated, even though I had M. State in the Final Four. I made the same mistake as others. I under-rated State's competition throughout the bracket.

He's the main reason I picked Michigan State to go all the way. Izzo is great great coach. I don't know what happened today.

I think I saw somewhere that after Maryland won, there was no perfect brackets left. All busted before the first round was over, as usual.

The ESPN leaderboard shows 11 brackets at 31-1, five of which have Michigan State as their national champ. None of the 310s are S16 intact.

Yeah, after I saw this clip on SI.com, I'm convinced this is the most unpredictable crazy ass March Madness ever.

I went 23-9 in the first round, which is my worst first two days that I can recall.

I did get the Stephen F. Austin upset right though. And oddly enough, despite 9 wrong picks, my entire East bracket is still intact.

RIP, sweet bracket. You were a good bracket, with Hawai'I and Yale, Northern Iowa and Little Rock.

But you had Michigan State to win it all.
