so are we to gather from that data that the "better programs" sell themselves? The assistants aren't as significant?

Because there is no Duke, UConn, Tennessee, North Carolina, Stanford, Oklahoma or Ohio State there just to get started.

I would think that the "call and sign somebody" schools would have to work just as hard if not harder in order to stand out above the other "call and sign somebody" schools.

well, she has only one great recruiting victory to her credit. Of course, that was a pretty big score, since Tasha is awesome. (How long do you think she stays around after Tasha graduates? I'd guess 1 year, 2 tops.)

What was the first? The Clay Aiken comment (about the American Idol Queen)?

yes ..it's stated in Poll... I agree with language of the POll...i.e... "Only Assistants who are employed at Up & Coming programs"... that's the Poll...

Maybe www.womenshoopscoop.net should post a poll about Top Recruiting Assistants at Top 10 programs ...I can assure you, those Assistants have a much easier job than the Assistants listed in this poll...NO DOUBT!

Like you even have to ask. On that one I actually almost spit out the water I was drinking.

No doubt?

Nope. I don't buy it.

Those Top 10 programs are typically recruiting against other Top 10 programs. Who do you think it is harder to recruit against: UConn or Kansas? Answer that before you tell me it's so much easier to recruit at, say, Rutgers, than it is at Kansas State.

Oh, I just couldn't resist that. You would have posted it, too. Between the two of us, we have enough Kathy Griffin sensibilities (although I am a little more Margaret Cho and Mo'Nique than you are, while you are more Nicole Sullivan than I am).

You have a good point..but I speak from experience .. having been a Recruiting Coordinator in the SEC/ACC and Big East...believe me - it is much easier recruiting to established top 20 programs - than it is to recruit for up and coming programs....FROM A VOICE OF EXPERIENCE - do you have any REAL experience to comment intelligently?

Im glad its back.
Is it because of this site though?

www.womenshoopsscoop.blogspot.com

I noticed that hoopscoop.net has only been around for a couple of days...(first link/scoop was yesterday)

Whatever. I just am glad its back and will contribute to both sites.

BTW..hoopscooper DID call the Adrian Wiggins hiring.

i believe womenshoopscoop.net is also womenshoopscoop.com which has been around since 2001...and by the way...anyone could have called the Fresno Hiring...i.e. ..non-search...that guy Wiggins really stabbed the fired Coach in the back from what I hear...not a good guy supposedly.

While Centennary College is far from being a program of the magnatude of the Top Anything, first year assistant coach Rebecca Montz was able to sign the first two early signees in the history of that program this year...and that is historical.

I love having friends scratching and clawing their way up the food chain...

Given Swoopes was allegedly straight before, can we argue Scotty is the best recruiting assistant coach? Shocked
