Sorry for being a day late, so I guess this is a "Flashback Friday" instead!

And here's Betty Lennox being hit in the face by a ball which was batted away by Kelly Miller!

I'm a few weeks behind but I actually miss the Sun "McDonald" uniforms. There is so much blue already and the league and I'm not sure how Navy Blue encompasses a mascot called the Sun. I wish they'd go back to the look. Maybe less yellow and more orange, but I didn't hate it.

Oh, that was GREAT! They should make commercials like that - now that the level of play has increased tremendously and the competion is fierce.

Excuse me??

#7 on the Houston Comets was no one other than Tina Thompson.

Do you really think the person in the picture looks like Byears????

I used to follow Tina on instagram. Not sure if I got blocked or I unfollowed or whatever, because I can't follow her anymore. Anyway, she showed pics of 2 articles in a matter of one week. Each photo credit mistaking her for someone else. One she was labeled as Cooper and maybe the other one she was labeled as Swoopes? No respect. She never lost a step through out her career.

From left to right: Katie Douglas, Tiffany McCain, and Brooke Wyckoff.

This is either from 2001 or '02, before the Orlando Miracle moved to become the Connecticut Sun. And what does those hand signs signify, anyway?

Since Tammy Sutton-Brown appeared on top of the list of players who played the most games without hitting a three, her she is back in her Sting days being guarded by Bobo Tuvic...

Shalee Lehning in her rookie year (2009) with the Atlanta Dream and Dream head-coach Marynell Meadors.

Lehning had been an assistant at her alma mater (Kansas State) and an Associate Head Coach at the University of Northern Colorado, before leaving UNC earlier this year and partnering up with a gun manufacturer.

Is Lehning not in coaching any more, then? If so, that's a shame. She seemed like a natural coach when she was over here with the Dream several years ago. Really seemed to love teaching the game (and working with the kids) when they did the WNBA Cares sessions.

From the 1998 season. Notice how the bottom right-hand corner of the photo refers to the "WNBA Championship" and not "WNBA Finals".

The card is from the Phoenix-Cleveland semifinal, so no big surprise there

I posted some of the following pics before, in another thread. But with recent news of the Tulsa Shock now rebranded as the Dallas Wings, here's a look back at the last time Dallas had a women's pro basketball franchise...
