Think how bad the West would look if Minnesota and especially Phoenix didn't get to pile up wins against the weak sisters of their conference.

Just think how bad the West's record would be if the West teams hadn't manage to have success against Atlanta this season and to some degree Chicago. 12 of the 18 wins for the West are against these two East teams. So the East better figure out the West's formula for defeating the Sky because so far they suck at it and they have to get through Chicago before they can have more fun against the West in the playoffs.

Not much correlation between interconference records and championships. The conference with the better record has won the title nine times. The conference with the lesser record has won seven times. In the two years the series was tied, the East won the title once and the West won the title once.
