Bentley had a fantastic first three quarters, but disappeared in the fourth quarter. Wasn't clutch on the last shot.

77-74 CHI final

She gets credit for a lot of free throws she shouldn't be taking!

Pitiful fourth quarter effort for the Sun. This team had played well down the stretch earlier this year, but that kind of effort down the stretch could turn the Sun back to what was expected of them at the start of the season.

Shades, I have listened to that complaint, 4 years in high school, 4 years in college, now 3 years in the WNBA, It gets kind of tiring and seems a little bit like crying over spilled milk.

5 free throws on fouls that weren't intentional! Conspiracy!

Bone should be hanging her head right now. She just lost her team a game.

Do you suppose that Delle Donne has Jedi mind control over the officials? If so, she may be a more amazing player than anyone thinks. Or perhaps she is so beautiful the refs just want some time to get a nice long look at her?

They should have won regardless. The Sun attempted 12 more shots, won the rebounding battle, had fewer turnovers, and were generally more energetic. Chicago had no business winning that game IMO.

The Sky won but it was an ugly win. Too many teams are killing us on the boards. There is a Minnesota fan that is an undercover cheese head. He has to consume a lot of cheese to go with that whine. Very Happy

I don't think Bone lost anything for the SUN.....they played great for most of the game. A couple of "odd" things....1) the substitution pattern came back to bite the Sun....even without Bone...there is no way that Pederson, Stricklen and ElizaWill should be in the game at the same time. Not enough offense there. 2) 3+ minutes left and Anne takes Alex OUT of the game, yes she was not having a great 4th quarter but it's your go to player. You will be off for ten days, she's got plenty of time to rest after the game. 3) With those 3 seconds of the game left...why not put in all 5 players who can shoot a 3...you don't need a rebounder....should have had Little, Jazzy, Chelsea,Alex and Stricklen in the game...in hopes for a 3.... I was a little stunned at some of the no calls and YES a few of them on EDD. She clearly gets the calls her way and I like her a TON...just fact!

Or your highest percentage 3 pt shooter Chelsea Gray...

Actually they didn't IMO, and I was there.

When you win on the road with 20 combined from Cappie and EDD, you're doing something right.

Quigley and Sloot really stepped up, and Breland played well too.

And yes, E-Will's block was literally right in front of me, and it was 100% clean. That one EDD got.

Bentley had played a lot of minutes and was coming up short on her shot. The substitution was to try to get her some legs back and fix the shortness of her jumpers.

I was surprised Gray wasn't out there for the final play, but let's face it, they got the ball to Bentley with 3 seconds, that's what they wanted.

Nice performance by E-Will in this game. Talking to Anne postgame she said that in some ways Bone being out was a good thing because it made Anne play her and KP more in a game. They had been doing well in practice, but with Bone doing so well they weren't getting minutes.

With all the love for her on this board, shocked no one has mentioned how big Betnijah Laney played last night. Kept her cool this time against AT, scored six HUGE points at the start of the 4th quarter.

Williams can also silde of to PF. I wouldn't mind seeing both her & Bone on the court at the same time.

No range. Little is a stretch four that opens the paint.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's a dangerous allegation in that part of the world.

Bentley really looked like she had tired legs down the stretch. She's averaged 20 shots per game in her last 5. Two of those games she played 44 minutes. The other 3 she played 32, 34 and 31. To her credit, she only turned it over 3 times combined in those 5 games. Granted both of those 40+ were OTs, but she's getting up there in hard minutes.

She's carrying the team in a lot of areas, to the point that you have to wonder if it will take its toll physically. Especially since she plays hard in all areas, when you're talking rebounds and steals.
