The Japanese and Japanese American community welcomes Ramu Tokashiki, Storm rookie player from Japan.
Join the Japan-America Society of the State of Washington and the Seattle Storm for Japan Night on Tuesday, July 21st at KeyArena! Enjoy cultural performances throughout the game and stay afterwards for a Meet & Greet session with Storm rookie and four-time Women’s Japan Basketball League MVP Ramu Tokashiki!
The first 90 fans to purchase premium suite-level tickets will receive an exclusive opportunity to attend a pre-game Welcome Reception with Storm Leadership.

considering the votes she's getting for the ASG, I'm not surprised. Wouldn't it be odd if she were voted a starter for the ASG.

I think Randy is referring to the fact that the Dream started doing this last season - most notably with "Native American night" since Shoni Schimmel and her many fans came to town, but also addressing the backgrounds of various other team members (e.g. "Brazilian night" for Erika DeSouza and so forth).
I can't say for certain that Atlanta was first to do this (seems unlikely, actually), but if it is being copied we can hope that's because it's succeeding.

It seemed to work with Native American night, and we had some French and Brazilian flags on those nights. Can't hurt no matter what. Since Settle has such a large Asian population this makes perfect sense for them. Maybe Seattle or Phoenix can have an Australian night and give out coupons for Outback......
