Saw a nice bio piece on Bella Abzug tonight...

She was one of the original GLBT allies in Congress...a tremendous voice for feminism...

But I have yet to see a bio piece that really puts into context how much of a revolutionary figure she was.

Sometimes I think it takes a while for a degree of revolutionary...ness?... to sink in. It takes time to create a historical context.

It was a feature on Lifetime, originally done around 1999 or 2000. But it focused solely on her advocacy work for women, not for the GLBT cause.
