The Algarve Cup(Portugal), Cyprus Cup & Istria Cup(Croatia) all started & take place at the same time from March 4 - 11. The United States have advanced to their 13th Algarve Cup final. The Cyprus Cup final will be between Canada & England. The Istria Cup final will be between Slovakia & Poland.

| The USA won the 2015 Algarve Cup 2-0 over France today. England won the Cyprus Cup 1-0 over Canada. Poland defeated Slovakia 2-0 in the Istria Cup final.

The Algarve Cup is set up in a horrendous way.
There was a group of Death with Sweden, Germany, Brazil and China. Sweden ended up on top of the group, but were declined a chance to play in the finals because the USA and France had more points from play against the teams in their groups. The USA didn't deserve to be in the Finals after a lackluster draw against Iceland. We drew with ICELAND. A very disappointing result.
France was without many notable players for the final, and I expect them to be ready for the World Cup, along with England who ended Canada's 10 match unbeaten streak.

Cyrus Cup was similar (though not as extreme a group of death) with one particularly weak group skewing things, ending with an odd mix of bronze medal and 5th and 6th playoff games. I definitely prefer semi final formats.
