Europe's major competition starts today. Three games currently underway, with FIBA's YouTube livestream of the UMMC-Prague game failing to work in classic style. Links for lots of actual livestreams available as always via http://lovewomensbasketball.com/ and https://twitter.com/lovewomensbball

Official site and schedule at: http://www.fibaeurope.com/euroleaguewomen/

Wisla (Vandersloot, Quigley, Lavender, Abdi) vs UMMC (Taurasi, Parker, Torrens, Toliver, Gruda, Nolan, etc. etc. etc.) about to start on FIBA's Youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJjc7A1nTCc&feature=youtu.be

Thanks for the link. I just watched Avenida vs Fenerbahce. It looks like there are three games available as archives if people are still interested.

Last year's champs Galatasaray got destroyed by 29 on their own floor by Prague today, dropping Gala to 0-4. Their squad wasn't as strong this year, so some regression was expected, but it's getting embarrassing. Might be a surprise if the coach stays in charge for much longer.

Wisla (Lavender, Quigley, Vandersloot, Abdi) vs Galatasaray (Lyttle, Bone, Yilmaz, Dubljevic) starts in about an hour here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGbnsHUQy2U

Yesterday's webcast of the Avenida-Bourges game was actually smooth and in high-quality (and the right game for once) so it might even be a decent stream.

Wisla-Kosice live and free on FIBA Europe's youtube channel right now (Vandersloot, Quigley, Lavender vs Phillips, Langhorne): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LgH-jeXOSo

Comes with either Polish or Slovakian commentary (I can't tell which), if that is extra-appealing to anyone Wink.

The best-of-three quarter-finals all start today, and all appear to be live on FIBA's youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtInrnU3QbWqFGsdKT1GZtg

UMMC are in the process of stuffing Nadezhda in the opening game at the moment.

Final Four starts tomorrow (Friday) in Prague, with the final and third-place playoff on Sunday. Semis tomorrow:

3pm local time (9am US Eastern): Dynamo Kursk-UMMC Ekaterinburg (Prince, Ogwumike, Augustus vs Parker, Torrens, Nolan, Gruda, Toliver)

6pm local (Noon US Eastern): Fenerbahce-USK Prague (Charles, Zellous, Ndour, Bibrzycka vs D.Robinson, Vaughn, Vesela, Elhotova)

They've shown a lot of games for free on FIBAEurope's Youtube channel this season, so hopefully tomorrow's games will be there as well. If not, there'll be other streams kicking around.

I am seeing it listed on livebasketball.tv as a free event (registration of some kind may be required). So far it is only geo-blocked in Russia, but I have found them adding random USA/USVI/PR geoblocks recently so who knows.

Is it really free if you register? It wasn't in the past though

Yeah, says it's free. Does look like you're going to need an account at livebasketball.tv rather than just being able to watch it via Youtube, but as far as I remember it's pretty straightforward (and free, obviously) to set up and register.

First semi starts in just over two hours.

Congrats to Kia Vaughn and her team for beating Tina Charles and her team to move on to the finals on Sunday.

From what I could tell, no registration was needed for the semis so that might be the case on Sunday as well.

I'm trying to watch the game that is on now but it keeps saying "error", keeps telling me to log in and subscribe but I am already logged in and the game is supposed to be free.

UMMC vs Prague in the final starts in 20 minutes. Live and free at livebasketball.tv like the others, if they don't screw it up.

Basket by Candeece Parker.

If I was European I don't think I would like all these Americans coming over and dominating the league.

Damn these refs are calling some weak fouls on both sides. Let them play
