Really, pilight, who besides you and me even know who Bela Fleck even is? That is the best one yet!!

BTW, what is he up to these days? Writing and producing?

More people probably know who Bela Fleck is than know who the Brecker Brothers are.

He's also coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Fleck is touring this summer with Jean-Luc Ponty and Stanley Clarke--as a trio! Should be crazy.

i do, and i've seen him live. he's a staple of 90.7 wfuv in new york. (now i will shamelessly plug my favorite radio station:) you can listen online here:

I, too, have seen Bela Fleck & the Flecktones in concert. I believe Bela Fleck also plays for some Nelly Furtado songs on Folklore.

The reason for my knowledge of Bela Fleck is quite possibly the most nerdy though. During my junior year of high school, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones was the music for our marching band show Smile

Also, I was very impressed with the Studebaker reference. My family owns a Studebaker Lark and was more active on the car show scene once upon a time.
