the final declaration day for the draft?

If so, can we safely assume Cappie in fact is graduating and will be able to return next year?

What happens if she fails (ed) her spring classes if she has been granted that year?

Yup.

There can be a time gap between declaration and the announcement of it. However my guess is she probably won't be in the draft this year. No idea about the rest.

Yesterday was the final day for players with remaining eligibility to renounce it.

so then if her academics aren't up to snuff, she didn't have to renounce it, right? So is she still eligible to be drafted? How would teams know?

If she had academic problems it wouldn't change how much eligibility she has left, only how and when she could use it.
