From eBay...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Ultra-WNBA-6-Maria-Stepanova-/161260589391?pt=US_Basketball&hash=item258be1514f

That's Margo Dydek on the left, and Maria Stepanova with the ball.

But who is the Utah Starzz player #24 trying to block Maria?

The 2003 Minnesota Lynx.

Front row (holding the basketball): Kristi Harrower and Katie Smith.

Middle row (left to right): Sheri Sam, Svetlana Abrosimova, Teresa Edwards, Shaunzinski Gortman (#32), and Georgia Schweitzer (#23).

Back row (left to right): Janell Burse, Michele Van Gorp, Tamika Williams, and Jordan Adams.

Lynn Pride was also on that '03 Lynx team, but I guess she was not officially with the team when that photo was taken.

I'm not sure which year this photo was taken. But as of this writing, only three people in this photo are still playing in the WNBA, and one of them recently announced her impending retirement.

That has to be from 2003, the only year Ford was in Detroit and Spoon was in New York at the same time.

Did someone say throwback?

(That's not even close to being my whole collection. It doesn't have one of my favorites, my Tari Miracle jersey. {I wear it to Sun games. I'm always true to you, Libbies, in my fashion; I'm always true to you in my way.})

Who's the third COMET in that pic with Coop and Tina? It's not Swoopes or Perrot, it's not Arcain....she looks tall next to Tina so I'm thinking maybe Tammy Jackson???

Cut from the back of a cereal box by my late downstairs comedian neighbor Eric Tunney, or his lovely wife Ellen, at that time, like '99, because they knew I was a Comets fan. I don't want to say good old days but...

On the back it says, '---: thanks for the hot sauce.'

Here we have Silver Stars head coach Dan Hughes and assistant Brian Agler demonstrating some good rotation and double-teaming technique to try to close out on a three point shooter, in this case Sheryl Swoopes.

11 years ago. One of those teams no longer exists, one doesn't exist anywhere close to what it once did, but the other 4 on hanging on.

Cruel irony: a sign for Monarchs fans to renew their season tickets for 2010. Except there was no 2010 season for the Monarchs! Sad

I'm guessing the photo was taken at Arco Arena on the last game of the 2009 season.

Top row (L to R): Scholonda Robinson, Kara Lawson, and DeMya Walker.

Middle row: Lauren Harper (holding what appears to be her pet dog) and Chelsea Newton.

Bottom row: Rebekkah Brunson, Nicole Powell, and Hamchetou Maiga-Ba.

Wow, looking at these old photos is making me feel OLD! Damn, how fast time has gone by since the league first began. It seems like yesterday! This thread inspired me to look back and research you early rebkell pioneers that started posting on this website. I give you people credited for being able to last ten years posting here without blowing a gasket and punching a hole in your computer screen! Laughing

I love that Cappie interview photo that you posted, caune. Cappie is a very attractive woman. This photo is flashback on how she looked before she went extreme with her personal style and fashion.

Meet the 2003 (and final) Cleveland Rockers team! Amazing that Penny Taylor is still playing in the WNBA!
