Four times before has a team had to face three #1 seeds in one NCAA tournament (the AIAW didn't seed). Two times, Tennessee in 1987 and La Tech in 1988, they beat all three opposing #1s to win the national title. The other two times, Auburn in 1990 and Georgia in 1996, they lost the third time around.
