Officiated game 1 of two in the Nike Pro NYC summer league tonight at Baruch College. I was about as impressed as I was with her WNBA performance. Interestingly the PA guy called her out as a former WNBA ref.

Game 2 was extremely well officiated. One of the refs was an NBA ref whose name I did not catch.

First time I've seen a game in that league. A good time. Landry Fields played the second game. The other night Kyrie Irving and Nate Robinson played. That's how I heard about it and why I went tonight.

perhaps she's now a "former" wnba ref because she is good at it. the league seems to be allergic to good officiating.

speaking of the nba summer league.. i don't like it at all. i feel like it is one more distraction from the wnba and is now and will be more so harmful to us in the future. normally we would see wnba games on NBA TV but this year in it's place is all these summer league games. quite a problem. it also lures potential fans away from us.

why does the nba even need a summer league? their regular season already goes on forever. the wnba operates during the summer already, so there is your "summer league". i don't like this. i don't like it at all! they're nosing in on our turf for no reason.
