George Washington 55, Temple 50 (OT)
Huge win for the Colonials and a very impressive comeback after an absolutely dismal first half. The Owls were leading 25-14 at the end of the first half, and apparently GW couldn't buy a basket according to the stats on the Gametracker. But the Colonials outscored Temple 31-20 in the second half and 10-5 in overtime to earn a season sweep of the Owls.
This win wasn't just important to GW's shaky NCAA tournament status (they were teetering on the bubble, I think), but adds some serious weirdness to the Atlantic 10 standings. The Owls are the only ranked team in the conference, but with this loss, the best Temple can finish in the conference now is tied for second with GW. However, Temple can actually end the A-10 season in third. The A10 title comes down to Sunday when GW hosts first place Charlotte. The 49ers won tonight giving them a 13-2 record. GW is right behind at 12-3 and Temple is 11-4. If GW beats Charlotte, the Colonials and 49ers will share the A10 title and Temple will finish third (presuming they win on Sunday). If Charlotte beats GW and Temple wins on Sunday, then the 49ers win the title outright and GW and Temple finish tied for second.

I assume GW would have the tie-breaker, if they win Sunday.

Yes, GW would have the tiebreaker if they beat Charlotte, as this is the only game they play against each other this year.

Sarah-Jo Lawrence is one of my favorite players. Wonder if Duke ever tried to recruit her. Should have imo.
