The Minnesota Golden Gophers are one win away from immortality. Perfect 40-0-0 record and play for the NCAA Championship on Sunday @ 4pm ET (Streamed on NCAA.com for any who are interested).

Now on a 48 game winning streak they are quite possibly the greatest women's hockey team of all time.

Kessel, Bozek and Raty are the three finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award that will go Saturday to the player deemed the best in women's college hockey.


First time ever that all three MVP finalists played for the same team.

I was hoping for Boston College to win.

Now I'll have to hope Boston University proclaims "THIS IS...SPARTAAAAAAA!" and kicks Minnesota into the bottomless pit of loss.

A perfect season is amazing in any sport. Congrats to the Gophers.

So do they just cut the MVP trophy in thirds? Or just grant it to the university? Wink
