The Billikens stuck around late into the game; it was still tied with only 10 minutes remaining. I have secured my spot on the Coach Shimmy Gray bandwagon; the article linked below has a strong quote from her.

Candice Dupree is so silky smooth; her shots barely brushed the net and her blocks were not swats but beautiful "redirections". SLU didn't really have a big presence to muscle Dupree.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee was in attendance and acknowledged for her accomplishments. Between JJK and Dawn Staley, there were 8 Olympic medals represented tonight. There are countries that would be more than proud to have such a haul back from Turin.
