(I'm placing this here as it's the busiest area right now, but will probably move it into FAQ eventually)

This feature of the message board came up randomly in a thread in Area 51 and it turns out that several people were not aware of it.

Threads containing New Posts are indicated by a black arrow and a coloured rectangle alongside the thread title.
Here's an example in which the first 11 threads contain new posts, while the last 5 on the list do not.



You can actually click on that rectangle symbol, and it will take you directly to the first unread post in that thread. So it saves you from guessing the page and then scrolling down to find the last thing you read.

Occasionally the function gets confused for me if I have been reading the boards on different computers, but the majority of the time it works fine and is a big time saver.

The color of the rectangle is dependent on the board style you use...

Occasionally mine gets 'stuck' even without using multiple computers. Any new thread just keeps the little rectangle even once I've checked that thread. I can fix that issue by clearing any cookies related to RebKell, then logging back in.

Just in case anyone else had that issue.
