terrific match between aussie and china in water polo. they played thru the two o.t.'s and are now in a shoot out, tied 16 all.

final: aussie wins, 4-2. aussie remains undefeated and moves to the semis.

Americans have forged back- Italy just pulled to 6-4 on a penalty shot.

I give a minimal amount of damn about water polo, but Doc Emrick is commentating, and therefore I am watching.

Takes awhile to learn the rules. Exclusion? And why can't they skirmish for the ball when it's free? It seems like they take a shot and automatically lose possession, even if the shot is blocked and skips out. Still, I can admire the strength and stamina.

USA leads Australia 11-9 at the end of the first overtime. 3 more minutes to play in the 2nd overtime to decide the winner.

US wins 11-9 after the 2nd overtime.

US advances to play in the Gold Medal match.
Australia moves in the Bronze Medal match.
