While I still think Tennessee is the third best team in the nation right now, I see why they fell to 5 with 2 losses. But I am surprised Uconn hasn't moved ahead of LSU at all since they beat LSU.

UConn beat LSU at UConn in a one-possession game in which they built a lead with Fowles on the bench but had real trouble keeping it. I'd put LSU one or two places ahead of UConn unless and until LSU loses again, since UConn won't play another top five team until tournament time. (On the other hand LSU almost lost to Georgia, while UConn hasn't been challenged that seriously in conference play... on the third hand, let's see what happens when UConn visits Rutgers, the only UConn conference opponent who have a raw talent edge over Georgia right now.)

LSU lost to UConn and hasn't beaten a team better than the teams that UConn lost to. It's splitting hairs at some point, but I have a heard time thinking LSU has accomplished more than UConn.

Plus, UConn beat DePaul, which is even or better than Georgia. We will see what LSU is made of vs. Baylor. Both teams have something to prove - to the pollsters and themselves.

Can someone give me a valid reason why Rutgers is ahead of Oklahoma?
