I just saw that PSU was up by 2 over MN with 8 minutes to go.

Can this be right? PSU with a bunch of scrubs over MN? Where is this game at....it's at Minny right?

That seems a lot closer than it should have been. For as much as I hate Mr. Ed, she is a good coach and apparently had her team ready to play.

Seems to have been going around today. See also Purdue, Maryland, Stanford, etc. Very Happy

The difference between the top say 10-12 teams is that those teams pull out the wins when no one else seems to be able to.

Penn State played some great defense, Gophers turned it over 19 times, shot better than Penn State, but allowed them 11 more shots. It was a tough game and Borton used everybody, brilliantly. She brought Alsdurf in to hit a three, make defensive plays, and made an allyoop layup off a Broback airball to get a five point lead late. She played the frosh Fox late just to end the TO's. The girl plays hard and don't turn it over.

The Gophers took the lead for good right at 2:05 left on an inbound play with 3 sec. on the clock. She brought Williams in off the bench on a short catch and shoot. Inside a minute she alternated Bolden on defense and ALsdurf on offense whenever the clock allowed.

Good coaching by Borton...

No, she didn't use everybody brilliantly. She stuck to her dogmatic rotation and nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory for the second time in two games, only stumbling onto to an effective backcourt at roughtly the 35 minute mark.

Hello Shocked
And I would add it was Davis at the point not Fox that helped right the ship. But I like these 2 on court together. Would like to see it more. Davis came in for added foot speed & it paid off.
I think inside about 30 sec Borton had both Alsdurf & Bolden in at the same time which wasn't a bad idea cuz they needed the D at that point.
Way to many unforced TO's because of bad choices by Gophers.
As well as a stretch of NO offensive gm plan by the Gophs IMO.

Being too slow to make adjustments will come up & bite this team if they're not careful Evil or Very Mad
